Welcome! :)

Hi, I'm a third year at Los Medanos College. I'm living with my parents (ah! haha) for the next two years then I am back to a CA four year (probably a UC) to get my bachelor's degree in International Relations. :)

Hi, I am now a second year at Santa Rosa JC. Still technically undeclared and living in an apartment with my sister and a lady named Anne! Life continues! I will try to post! :)

Hi, I am a Freshman (1st year) at Southern Oregon University. I am undeclared but that doesn't mean unprepared! I will try to share stories, thoughts, photos, videos and such as often as possible, I hope you enjoy! :)

Incredibly long haitus, I know!

So, Christmas has now come and gone and I have not posted since May! I am so sorry... Let's see, my semester at OMC went by quickly and well! I have a 4.0 (OMG YES RIGHT?!!) and I lost like 15 pounds and some inches. WOO HOO! Documenting this I will be posting regularly on a new blog:

http://britt1940.blogspot.com

Following the 1940s Experiment by Carolyn Ekins. (Just Google 1940s experiment and you shall find it! :) )

What else? I am still dating Jon. My dream college to transfer to is SDSU which I am documenting in a blog also (shall I be a real blogger? Haha)

http://brittedu.blogspot.com

So feel free to check it out! This will remain me talking about my general life. 1940s will be exclusively about the diet and exercises (I have a gym membership now) and EDU will be completely about the process of finding the right college as a transfer student whom does know what she wants! :)

Thanks, sorry for the hiatus!! Xoxoxo Britt

Tuesday Review: Emily Owens, M.D. (as little spoilers as I can manage!)

This show starts Meryl Streep's second eldest daughter: Mamie Gummer as Emily Owens, a new medical doctor whom is doing her 2 year residency for surgery under a famous surgeon named Dr. Bendari. Her friend and secret love, Will, is also interning. Unfortunately, so is her HS nemesis Cassandra. Bendari's assistant surgeon, Micah, takes a liking to Emily and they form a friendship that has romantic hints.  Emily makes friends with fellow intern Tyra whom Emily helps come out to her father whom is the head of the hospital. Emily is a loving person with a great bedside manner and is very intelligent but is very awkward at times. Over the course of the season the characters develop very well. and you have an affinity for Emily and the other characters despite their flaws. The show had 13 episodes, each about 40 minutes. This show has drama, romance, humor, real life lessons and will make you want to say "I love you" to your closest loved ones. I give it a 4.5/5. Really, it was a good series and I am VERY sad they weren't picked up for a second season.

The dish on... Holland Roden from 'Teen Wolf.'

Holland Roden is beautiful, relatively successful, fashionable and from what I can tell intelligent. Here is the dish on this rising actress.

Height: 5'3"

(Apprx) Weight: 105-125

Eyes: Hazel

Skin: Fair

Hair: strawberry blonde/ reddish-blonde/ ginger

Relationship status: Unknown. Was or is dating co-star Colton Haynes. (How adorable; he plays Jackson, bf and later on ex-bf of Holland's character Lydia in Teen Wolf).

From hollandroden.us:

"Holland enrolled at UCLA as a molecular biology major and after one year of school, realized she wanted to return to her passion in acting. Within two months of hiring an agent, Holland got her first big break, a recurring role on HBO’s “12 Miles of Bad Road” (2007). Holland learned the highs and lows of this business early on, experiencing how such a promising show could be cancelled before it premiered. However, she persevered and went on to book guest starring appearances on shows such as: “The Event” (2010), “Cold Case” (2003), “Community” (2009), and “Criminal Minds” (2005), as well as a lead in the cult classic franchise: Bring It On: Fight to the Finish (2009) (V). During her hiatus from “Teen Wolf,” Holland recently took time out to shoot a guest star episode on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” (2005), and a leading role in an independent horror flick titled House of Dust (2012/I) currently in post-production.
Even though Holland has been fulfilling her dream as an actor, she still remained dedicated to her education as a full-time student. However, due to Holland’s busy work schedule, she was forced to make the hard decision of switching majors, leaving her love for science behind and majoring in women studies; a field Holland found surprisingly fascinating and received her degree in from UCLA.
In contrast to her professional and academic life, Holland’s free time consists of exploring the world of music. Whether it’s coming across new indie artists or listening to her all time favorites including Ingrid Michaelson, Josh Rouse, Cat Stevens, Mumford & Sons, and Crash Kings, Holland is a music fan through and through."

Make-Up Monday Part 2

TARTE! I felt like my original post was lacking so here are my favs and what's new from Tarte (whom I love about equal to NARS). :)

I only have tried the eye cream and lip tints. I like the lip tints well and the eye cream is pretty good too. I want to try their finishing powder sometime soon. :)

They have a non-aqualillies one. Same price though.

Tried this at Ulta. Was a very pretty coral color!

I follow makeup gals on youtube and a few of them love this blush!

I'm not a cheek stain person but people seem to love it!

Lots of pretty colors for their lippy and tints!

 Both of these look cool!
