Welcome! :)

Hi, I'm a third year at Los Medanos College. I'm living with my parents (ah! haha) for the next two years then I am back to a CA four year (probably a UC) to get my bachelor's degree in International Relations. :)

Hi, I am now a second year at Santa Rosa JC. Still technically undeclared and living in an apartment with my sister and a lady named Anne! Life continues! I will try to post! :)

Hi, I am a Freshman (1st year) at Southern Oregon University. I am undeclared but that doesn't mean unprepared! I will try to share stories, thoughts, photos, videos and such as often as possible, I hope you enjoy! :)

MOVED IN! First few days..

DAY ONE: Thursday, 9/22/11: Arrive at SOU around 4, sign housing contract, get keys, walk up 5 floors to room. Find out I do indeed have a roommate. She is a freshman and named Phoenix and is from Eugene, Oregon. Spend 3 hours moving in (not done! like 90% done lol) Get dinner at American pizza place (love its cheapness! Huge slice of pizza: $2.75, with salad bar: $5 and soda is like $2ish..) Then parents go to hotel room and I go to meet two friends from Chico, Kelly and Olivia. Hang there for 2 hours then come back to room. Roomie is still out so I decorate room and hang out. Around 2:30am she returns and for about 2 hours we talk and look for a balcony (only one is 3 floors done and locked!) Then we fall asleep.
DAY TWO: Wake up at 9:30 and miss class photo (haha and oh well...) Meet parents around 11:15 for free lunch then go shopping! Get dinner at Red Lobster in Medford than parents say good-bye... I hang out and like a hr later meet up with Olivia and Kelly again. We go to Market of Choice and get mexican popsicles then hangout in Diamond's (a housing section) living room area. We meet 2 other girls and go to Kelly and Olivia's room. Then we head next door to the other girls (Megan and Katrina <lol!>) room. Then we leave at like 10:20 and go back to Kelly and Livi's room. Like 5 mins later a girl and a guy walk up to the door with mini guitars and proceed to talk to us. They're part of a band and they play for us. They're super good! The girl is a RHA at Suzy's (oldest housing on SOU) and the guy is her friend or possible bf? anyway, they're ADORABLE!!! Their song is cute. Then she plays and sings the song from Blue Valentine! So neat! They then leave and we head out to the grass to take the bus to Fred Meyer's night. There we meet a girl named Alex from Hawaii! So we 4 get on the bus. About 10 minutes in I turn around and converse with 3 ladies sitting behind us. They're all 3 nice and interesting.. :) We get to Freddie's and go shopping! I got a few things under $40 that normally would cost at least $100! It is pretty packed and they play like top hits loudly! :p Me and Alex got separated from Livi and Kelly early on so we check out and head outside to return back around midnight and Livi and Kelly are already there. But They're all in Cascades and The greensprings bus is already here so I leave right then with my stuff. Eventually the bus is filled and a girl has to sit next to me.. We talk the drive home and her name is Molly..   :) So then I returned back to my room and unpacked the few things and clean my room up a bit and make a few veggie corn dogs, grab an iced tea, add 2 splenda and shake = yum! Then I had my one dessert Reese's pumpkin. YUMMY! So yeah.. That was night up to 2:25. Now im going to get ready for bed and hit the sack, so to speak. :D

  1. HAHA Thank you Britt for letting us walk with you the last two days. I love it!! Sounds busy and interesting and a little nerve racking. Meeting new people, finding your way around, learning a new way of life. Sounds like you are doing it right by putting yourself out there. The young couple that sang for you would have been so fun. Love you :)
